About Daniel

Daniel became senior pastor at Southeast in June of 2021. He was saved through the ministry of the Baptist Collegiate Ministries when he was 18. He felt a strong call toward ministry in the following years and was blessed to serve in both youth and collegiate positions.

Daniel met and married Tara during this time. They have been serving in ministry together for over twenty years. They endeavor to love God, one another, and the church. They are thankful for their daughter, Maggie, and son, Reece.

Daniel is honored to have had the opportunity to pursue and complete a Master of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Daniel’s theological training has instilled in him a passion for expositional preaching. Tara has a Master of Theological Studies degree from New Orleans.

Southeast is the Milligan’s fourth pastorate, three of which have been in their home state of Oklahoma. Before Southeast they had the privilege of serving at First Baptist, Stigler for over ten years. Daniel’s desire is for God to be glorified and honored through healthy, local churches. This desire is reflected in the prayer of Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”
